Sometimes good things happen when bad things change the direction of your day.  Planning on working all day today, I was not ready for two clients to cancel at the last minute: illness, and an unscheduled soccer game came in between my scheduled plans and my actual day.

But I am not complaining. The road trip to Newport Beach was long overdue and great R&R.  I recommend it to anyone with a few hours to leisurely spend near the coast. Especially check out Rogers Gardens in Costa Del Sol near Newport Beach. Kind of a girly thing to do unless you are an avid gardner. The photos tell the tale…Click to view slideshow.

And we are facing the sun again today, shadows sliding darkly behind us, just enough of a chill to keep us looking toward the warmth and promise of a beautiful hour. After that, we will be walking at cross-purposes to the sun. Choosing weather to walk the line into or out of our own shadow. The choice, darkness or light, is waiting for you.

I guess I am a little early for Valentine’s day sentiment. The sunrise color tempted me to wax sappy….

Well, I am “under the weather” today, having caught the bug that has been plaguing so many of my friends. (I guess I should not have tested the gods by bragging that I have not been sick for 3 years)  But San Diego is in sympathy with me. You can see by the pictures that our city is definitely “under the weather” as well. Misery loves company.
